1991 RA GTI-R

PLease note car is currently in the driveway, I have a brand new Clutch Master Cylinder on it's way from the UK.

Will also come with 4 Brand New Tyres (RE002s or RE001's)

I have owned and loved this car for Nearly 5 years.

I dont know where to start, so I'm just going to list everything an add details regarding aspects of the car, both known and speculated by myself and others

Several Members have driven this car, and can attest to the Power and Handling.

Apart from the first 6 months of ownership, this car has been more reliable than a Toyota Corolla. I do drive this car on Weekends and weeknights.

Car is a 1991 RA Model:


Black, with Factory Sunroof. Sunroof seal is in excellent condition.

Paint and body work is in fair condition. The clear is starting to whiten on the roof and on bonnet. Front Left quarter has two shopping trolly dents. Paint has swirl marks and a few large scratches on bonnet and quarters. I suspect that the car has had dent removal done, as clear is starting to wear through onto what looks like bog. Paint has worn on passenger mirror from car cover. Front bar has had center cut, to allow mounting of front mount, also has a crack, which is covered by the number plate, on left hand side of the car.

15 x 6.5 Inch Alloys +38 Offset, Black with Alloy lip. Fair condition. Wheels have had black paint applied over Gold. Alloy lip's clear coat has peeled off most of the surface. Space saver.

Standard Interior.

Drivers seat has had a small tear repaired, Dash is in poor condition, will soon be covered in a dash mat. I have recently recovered the doors in Faux Suede, due to the vinyl originals cracking and the car also comes with an original Parcel Shelf.

Clarion CD Player, 400w Kenwood AMP, coupled with Sony 2 Way Splits in doors (CD Player function is Broken, but I just use an Ipod with the line in on the AMP)


Compression, ~145psi per cylinder

History: Engine has had a bottom end rebuild at 80,000Kms. I do NOT have any receipts for this build, but the engine has CP Forged Pistons (Confirmed) Standard rods, Standard Cams.

I dropped engine at 135,000kms. Engine taken down to long motor.

Full Gasket Kit (Exc Head Gasket), Full Water Hose kit.

Late SR20 Tensioner. New Timing Chain, Guides.

Y-Bracket removed. TMIC Brackets removed along with Oil/Air separator.

Modified thermostat housing.

10 Row Grex oil cooler, with chinese remote filter mount/85 degree thermostat. (Soon to be conjoined with Peter Schurr's Oil Adaptor Plate)

Nismo/GSpec Engine mounts.

Notes: Engine has a slow leak from the front Main Seal, also needs the Shims redone as they are noisy, Slight Piston Slap when cold due to Forgies


Standard ECU, rechipped with PLMS series 2 daughterboard.(EPROM), tuned by DR Drift, Somerville. Would suit Swap to Nistune

550cc Sard Purple tops.

Bosch Super 4 platinum plugs.

Igniter Moved away from Block

Bosch 984 In-tank pump

Genuine Nismo Adjustable Fuel Regulator


Standard Flywheel.

Exedy Cushion Button Clutch with New Clutch Fork and Pivot Ball, 135,000kms

Replacment G/B installed Approx 12 months Ago (5000ks' / March '10)

Torsen LSD Front Diff


Custom alloy airbox, mounted behind FL Headlight with Radiator Bypass for CAI

Drift dry air filter.

Custom 100mm intake pipe to turbo, with silicon hose.

Hybrid FMIC core, custom I/C piping. I/C painted black.

Z32 AFM between I/C and Plenum.

Greddy Type-S BOV

Bleed valve boost control.

All vacum lines replaced.


Trust T3 Manifold, with 40mm external Gate pipe. This is a very old genuine manifold in Good/Fair condition. Was repaired due to cracking, before a brace was added. Heat Wrapped.

TD06-20g. 8cm Wheel. 100mm inlet.

Chinese 40mm External wastegate. 1 bar spring (Car Runs 1 Bar of boost)

2 1/4 inch to 3 Inch mild Steel Dump. Dump runs for about 6 inches at 2 1/4 then to full three Inch.

Stainless/Mild 3 Inch system. Exhaust is a bit of a frankenstien, flex between dump and cat, stainless from cat to rear subframe.

F-truck mild steel muffler (Huge) mounted sideways under rear of car.


BC Coilovers, 8000 Km Old. 6kg/mm F, 4 kg/mm R.

Bridgestone Adrenaline, 195-50 R 15. 8000km Old Worn on Inside shoulders, due to alignment (possibly need replacement for RWC)

Front Control Arm Bushes, Rear Lower Link and Trailing Arm Bushes Replaced.

Depending on Time of Sale, Rear Subframe bushes will also be replaced

Cusco Front + Rear Strut Braces

Front Sway bar has been Removed for Handling Purposes


DBA Slotted Rotors Front, Standard back.

QFM A1RM Pads (F) Bendix OEM Replacement

No, I'm making an executive decision to sell as I am planning to go overseas very soon. I can make it work Financially if I sell my car, therefore I'm willing to make the sacrifice so I can go.

I'll drive it to QLD or NSW for the right buyer. My Uncle lives in Currumbin, so it would make a good excuse to go and see him for a couple of days.

For Everyone's information, Future modifications for the car include the following; These will still be going ahead even while the car is for sale.

1: Rear Subframe Bushes will be Replaced; Fuel Tank will be dropped and all the OEM fuel lines will be replaced.

2: Custom made Surge tank (6-700cc) will be installed. Tank will be fed by Walbro 255LPH intank pump, with the Current Bosch 984 becoming the primary EFI pump. Pumps will be powered via 2 x 30 Amp relays straight from the Battery.

3: New Turbosmart Compgate40 Wastgate will be installed. Exhaust Manifold will be modified to suit the V'band Wastegate.

Some minor re-working of the intercooler piping and cleaning of the Z32 AFM element this week. Clean AFM got rid of the slight flat spot between 3-4.5K RPM and cleaned the idle up a little.

Now $7200 ONO.

Only needs 4 new tyres ASAP, (Down to the Belts) and now also needs a new Clutch master cylinder.
