Really sorry to hear it Glenn. You were always one of the quiet achievers out there and all the pictures and dynograph are testimony to that success. Someone is going to get a well sorted car.

Yeah good luck with the sale Glenn. It looks like not a penny has been spared on this car.

Do you have any pics of the aircon condensor installation? It sounds interesting.

glenn - very sad to hear :(

(i think a farewell cruise is in order!)

can't you sell your grandma or something instead?

phil - they are custom guages, were made a by a member in nz many years ago, no longer available

there was also a company in qld (autoillusions) that used to make some, but they too have closed down

www.emtechautomotive.com.au (sa) used to list some for the 'R (although very expensive) but have since changed their website making it unclear

there also used to be a company in the uk called bluetone which made them, but i can't find a link for them anymore...

ps. the process for joining the club is listed here: http://forum.gtiroz.net/viewtopic.php?t=132

Shalom,

no mate, no grandmothers left to trade in :(

Plus I couldn't get enough for them to pay the bills :(

Phil,

as Shalom said the custom gauges were a group buy from NZ a few years ago, sorry

cheers

Thanks Lenny,

I wish I didn't have to sell up especially after spending six years building it up

Simon,

thanks mate, I will see if I can get some photos for you.

It is pretty hard to get to as it is where the brake duct was and the vehicle is lowered :(

Haha, cool. Thanks Glenn. The reason I am interested is because I have the same FMIC and no aircon, but have the old condensor here.

Phil: Do a web search (or start a new thread) on the white gauges. I remember many, many years ago when I had a Pintara TRX, there was a guy on the Stanza (Pintara in US) forum (now antrx.com) that used to make them using a home printer!!

Can I ask what turbo you are running? I can't seem to find any mention of it on your mods list.

Link to post

How the hell did you push 220 kw atw?? Fark that is a good power output for the stock turbo.

Link to post

Yes, not a bad output for the stock turbo

When the car was dynoed even Sasha was impressed and said he thought that the stock turbo was capable of those kinds of figures

Even the blokes who dropped by the workshop and went for a spin were impressed too

The time I have been dreading has finally arrived

My car is now up for sale.

As the details applying to the sale (price & spares) has changed all the information is now on the first post.

There is no longer a possibility or reason for me to keep the car, so it has to go

At the moment I only have time for genuine inquirers / buyers.
