I hate to be "that guy" who buys a car then sells it not too long after (bought it August 2010), but circumstance dictated otherwise.

Now for the rambling...

I am the second owner in Australia, first owner was a young lady who lived on the Gold Coast and the vast majority of the mileage was travelling to-from work in Brisbane (140km round trip each day).

first owner bought it from importer February 2006 with 120,150km

Service done by previous owner (parts & labour cost):

- diagnose & repair ECU (rough running): $500, October 2006

- Exedy HD clutch, machined flywheel, new clutch fork: $1,800, April 2007

- Tint & Mongoose alarm/immobilser: $630, October 2007

- new genuine Nissan OEM injectors: $720, May 2008

- replace LF ABS sensor: $495, October 2008

ECU repair done by Hi-Torque Performance, tint&alarm by Master Tint.

All other work done by Auto Leaders at Southport.

Service done since I've owned it:

- Front L&R bumpstops and Front L&R KYB Excel-G dampers (yeah they're not fancy, but I wanted to keep the car as stock as possible): $650

- RDA standard rotors: $200

- LF CV boot & selector shaft boot: $150

Above work done at Auto Leaders Underwood Sept 2010

- New windscreen by Economy Windscreens: $250, August 2010

- SuperCharge Gold battery: $120 Sept 2010 (3-year warranty)

- Whiteline 20mm rear anti-sway bar: $200

- Hooker Aero Chamber muffler: $120, installed by Right Price Exhaust Sept 2011

- Brake & clutch system flush with, and replaced with, Castrol Super DOT 4, Sept 2011

- Fenix 42mm Aluminium Radiator: $250: Dec 2011 (replaced driver-side fan motor)

- Nismo low-temp thermostat: $90: January 2011

I've only changed the oil twice, first with Mobil1 0w-40 May 2011, last with Castrol Edge 10w-60 Dec 2011. I only travelled <5,000km between oil changes.

Accessories, bits&pieces:

- F&R upper strut tower braces

- Sony single CD head unit

- Kicker 12" sub in ported box

- Kenwood 6x9 rear speakers

- Osram Night Breaker headlight bulbs

- top-mount 3rd brake light

- RX-8 gear knob

- 15x6.5 Melber wheels

- OBX F&R camber bolts (top bolt per damper)

- K&N X-stream pod filter with ACL Heatshield

- Turbosmart MBC (uninstalled)

- Accel 300+ ignition leads

- NGK Platinum plugs PFR7B

Also have brand new, uninstalled: BOSCH distributor cap, rotor, igniter

Bad points:

- Paint on roof fading

- 3 small hail dents on roof, 2 on bonnet

- dent on RF quarter panel

- original steering wheel in below average condition

- turbo actuator diaphragm leaking so it's overboosting since approx October 2011.

Overall the car runs smooth, no issues with gearbox/clutch/drivertrain. I drive very conversatively (honest) and it has seen [before overboosting] full boost & above 6,000RPM only once a week, if that.

Since overboosting I've never gone past 5,500RPM and seldom past 5,000RPM.

Pretty good fuel economy, I'm getting 10km/L with 95% suburban driving, always filled up with Caltex Vortex 98.

Always warmed up and warmed down for at least 4minutes before/after driving.

I'm very pedantic about maintenance and with my best mate being a mechanic of 10+years, we maintain our cars as best as possible.

- Interior in VGC, all standard besides gearknob & Sunpro boost gauge. Interior photos will be posted once I clear all my junk.

- All switches and electrical components work.

- Brake pads have lots of meat left; 5-6mm both front pair, over 7mm both rear pair. Even wear all-round.

- The only thing that has gone wrong in my ownership is the busted actuator.

Like most of you, I've done little things here and there to help improve and/or maintain, eg. high-mount stop-light, 3M Scotchgard, Meguiar's & Collinite wax, throw-over seat covers to keep seats clean, Sunpro boost gauge etc.

I'm reluctant having joy-riders, so I'll leave it here more-or-less as an EOI for fellow enthusiasts to tell any mates who may be interested, before putting it on carsales.

Inspections most welcomed as are any questions.

For the critics, yes I realise the mileage is high, but I've kept the ad as honest as possible (hence the ramble) so you know what has gone wrong, and what has been fixed.

More photos to come.
