I am looking for a gtir track car,im looking for something pretty rough on the outside but with good mechanicals and have been looking at importing a car from japan. Just wondering what sort of price i would be looking at for something that was not going to be complianced and only for track days.
has anyone else done the same thing,just after some opinions.

The days of saving by importing are past 
It's now about the same as buying locally, but with more time/effort/risk.
They're going for 150-300k yen (2-4k aud) at auction, getting one here will cost around 5k aud, and factor 1-2k for compliance if you want road reg.
Average price for them here is currently around 7.5k aud.
