Parts are no problem. You just have to be willing to pay accordingly.

Some parts are quite common and cheap. Lots are the same as the ordinary N14s.

e-bay is surprisingly good, plus you build up alot sites over time that have parts, in my gti-r favs i have about 20 sites that offer parts for the r, thats with out trying breakers, plus their will nearly always be some one on the forum with that special part you need for sale, the gti-r box isn't bad, it's the after market power we all crave that kills them, get your self an R you won't regret it........

Gearboxes are not a big problem to find.

We have a dedicated Classifieds section with parts for sale, group buys, supplier offers, & wtb sections.

Hi guys,

I'm very interested in buying a GTiR in the near future, but I do have one main concern. I was just wondering how you go about sourcing parts for these cars. I have heard as you would be aware that the gearboxes are a big problem if they go. And with the way I would expect everyone to drive these cars, (and the way I would expect to drive one of these cars) they would definately have to go eventually.

Do you have a parts forum for GTiR's on this site? And what would I be looking at paying for a GTiR gearbox? Where do you find are the best places for sourcing these parts?

Thanks
