rear brake light from a late model Holden Astra TS (be sure to get the type with the soft rubber lip around the edge) $45 from a wrecker (Melbourne) P1010006.jpg parts separated
testing position P1010010.jpg checking angle from out side car testing visiblity and brightness
the cover was too long and fouled on the roof when the boot closed. Needed to trim it off a bit. cut with a hacksaw, leaving plastic tabs intact on the other side. placed the cover and light on the boot lid and marked position to drill bolt holes I countersunk the holes as I wanted the metal screws I bought to sit flush with the plastic
